Below are reviews from guests that have stayed recently in our vacation home.

Luxurious Space and Amazing View

This is a fabulous property that has been recently remodeled and is well worth the cost! The view is beyond compare and the space is luxurious. In pleasant weather, you can practically live on the spacious deck. It has separate areas each with their own sliding glass doors.

The property is just off of M119 and is near the town of Harbor Springs. It is hard to believe how quiet and secluded the property feels. Seeing deer and wild turkeys on the property made it feel rural.

The view of Little Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan is just astounding. Both of the upstairs bedrooms look out over the water as do the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The deck that wraps around the back of the house is a great place to enjoy the sounds of the birds, read a book, and grill a meal. We could see distant fireworks in Petoskey and Bay Harbor.

We enjoyed our huge master bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Our adult daughter appreciated having her own bedroom and bathroom. Our adult son said that that the downstairs fold out couch was very comfortable; the mattress base was solid instead of the old style spring mattress supports wherein you can feel the bar. Our brother sleep on the lower bunk in the room downstairs and also found it comfortable.

We didn’t think that we would need a place with an air conditioner when we rented. However, our stay would have been much less comfortable if the house had not had one, due to the heat wave we experienced.

The many parking spaces, WiFi, TV, and cell signal coverage made this property a very convenient place for everyone in our family. We enjoyed the new kitchen appliances and access to the washer and dryer.

The Thorne Swift Nature Center is just down the hill near the water. This has a nice nature walk and a small but beautiful secluded beach on Lake Michigan. The water was cold, but this was a nice escape from the 90 degree weather that we we’re having.

Ed and Karen’s hospitality was great. Ed was flexible with regard to meeting us upon arrival. They had several things in the house to welcome us, such as ground coffee, tea, cookies from a local bakery, and a bottle of wine in the fridge. They also had everything we needed to do our laundry.

I travel for work and find that no hotel is as comfortable as home. Staying here, however, was nicer than home and felt like a real vacation. It will be hard to stay anywhere else in Northern Michigan. My wife and I wished that we didn’t have to leave.

Would love to return here!

This rental property is truly outstanding.

I would recommend this property without hesitation. In fact, I wish we were still there!

The owners were beyond helpful and accommodating. The location was amazing. We were in the woods, exactly what we had wanted, and there was a very private and rural feel. Yet we were close enough to all the activities we wished to do.

The property was extremely clean and well maintained. The home was very spacious. The house is beautifully appointed. The pictures on the website are true to life. Just looking at them now brings back memories of our stay. There were so many places to sit and enjoy both in the house and out on the deck.

The deck was incredible – the views of Lake Michigan were a treat for the eyes. It was pleasure to sit outside on one of the many chairs on the deck. We also loved the many sliding doors which made it possible to see the gorgeous view from inside the home. The setting was incredibly relaxing and we enjoyed it day and night, (and even with less than perfect weather). The stars were incredible too!

(For parents of young toddlers: there is an open set of stairs going down to the also amazing and very spacious basement. I’m sure a solution could be found to gate it off if necessary. Worth being aware of.)

Enjoy your time here! It is an excellent choice!

Peaceful delight

Our family of five and two grandparents stayed the week at this wonderful home. There was something for everyone; walks in the woods, cool breezes, kayaking, beach, nearby farmers market and shopping. It was everything we needed.

Lovely home in Harbor Springs!

We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful property! We especially loved the huge wrap around porch and stunning views of the lake. The two upstairs bedrooms were very nice and very comfortable. The pull-out sofa was new and also very comfortable. It wasn’t a typical convertible sofa. The only negative was the small downstairs bedroom with the bunk beds, however it’s perfect for young children.

The bathrooms and showers are as nice as a fine hotel.

The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed to cook, bake and create meals. We definitely appreciated the coffee provided and the bottle of wine. That was a very nice touch!

We had one small issue with the garage door and it was fixed within the hour. Ed and Karen are lovely and caring homeowners.

We highly reccomend this property!
